Adwords a Hot Topic during Presentation at MacDonald Realty

Today Rodney Bartlett from Reach'd spent some time with the dedicated professionals at MacDonald Realty. Monday was MacRealty's regular sales meeting where they caught up on new listings, sold listings and price changes. 

Rodney presented a 15 minute presentation and offered a few tips regarding SEO / SEM for these real estate agent websites. The time was followed by a few questions and several of the agents took time to hang around and ask Rodney various questions about their particular website.

One topic of great interest was Google Adwords. There was a brief poll in the office and we discovered that no one present at the meeting is using Google Adwords to market their listings. Adwords is a pay-per-click marketing tool provided by Google. Adwords ads  are the links that show on the right side of the Google search page. The ads are related to certain keywords that the advertiser selects for the ads. Adword advertisers are only charged when their ads are clicked on and can modify and manage ads easily.

Since no one in the office today was using Google Adwords, we'd like to offer 5 reasons why we think Real Estate Professionals should use Google Adwords.

1. SEE results right away. Optimizing your page for organic search results by tweaking the title tag, H1 and link text, takes time but Adwords ads will begin showing right away.

2. The power to test -- Testing is what marketing is all about. With adwords you can test different Ad titles. See which Ad titles produce more clicks or see which landing pages on your site produce.

3. Test different ads and Track the results -- adwords will provide you with comprehensive reports. You will know how may clicks you are getting, how many times your ads are showing and if your ads are converting into leads or sales. I can't remember when Canada Post offered you those kind of reports on your direct mail campaign.

4. Turn ads on or off. So you are testing and tracking and you discover that one ad is working and one is not. With adwords you can simply stop one of your ads from running. There are no deadlines or print dates to meet. Start the ad when you want, adjust the ad when you want or stop the ad at anytime.

5. No need for a huge budget - With adwords you have the freedom to set up your daily or month ad spend. You simply create your account put in your max budget for a particular campaign and Adwords will make sure that you get the most out of your budget.
