Gathering Resources for a Niche Real Estate Website
Below is the second step that we went through in the creation of our Elite Niche Real Estate Website.

After we laid out our plan and began thinking about what information we wanted to include on the site, we began gather all of the resources for the information we need for the website.
These resources include:
- Community information
- Building information
- Local Merchants and Banks
- Restaurants in the area
- Moving Tips
- And building photos
This research required 5 hours to complete and compile into a useful format. Over time our team will have a large collection of resources to pull from so in the future this research time will be cut down significantly. Currently all the data is gathered with the exception of the building photos.
Here are the Steps that we followed in gather the necessary resources for our site.
- Search Google for Keyword, such as "yaletown restaurants" or "yaletown medical"
Copy any URL that you find and paste it into a document for later use - Search Yellowpages.ca by proximity for each of the the categories on your site.
The proximity feature is very useful, because a user can save a location. In this case we saved the location 388 Drake and would just search for relevant matches near our location. Copy and paste the information found and save it in a document. - Build a link page on our website with all the relevant URL's that we found. The links page will act as a resource for each of the other pages on our site. So we have a link Category called "Yaletown Banks" and we will use those links to add information on our Banks and Merchants page.
Along with creating link page we also created a del.icio.us account with the User name 388drake and we add all the links to this user account. Just last night I did a search for 388drake and our del.icio.us account appeared on the first page of search results.
