If you are tracking with the search engine optimization world you have heard of link love, link juice, or link ____ you fill in the blank. If you've not been tracking with the search engine optimization (seo) world and you don't know what link love is...let me boil it down for you. You need links to your website to Rank in the search engines. But lots of links is not the primary goal in today's SEO world you need quality links.
What is a quality link to your site
1. A link from a page with a page rank of 4+
2. A text link with good link text
3. A link on a page which is not filled with Adsense ads
4. A link on a page that is in some context and is not surrounded by 100's of other links.
Assuming you find those pages on the internet, how are you going to get those links. If there is no form or "Advertise with us" link on the site, I'm going to offer you a crazy suggestion in the internet world --- Pick up the phone and give someone a call. Yes! try to talk to an actual person rather than just filling out a form.
I found a website on the internet that was a jewel -- Page Rank of 5, few links on the page, focused on my topic and after 90 days of phoning once a month, I finally got a link on the page I was after. The result was a complete page jump. This was the link that took my site to the next level.
