10 Steps to Getting Google Adwords Up and Running.

Steps 1 - 5 With this article I'm going to break down what I see the essential steps are of going from no Adwords to your first campaign. If you are experienced with Adwords this might not be for you but then again it might be worthwhile to make sure you are not missing any steps.

1. Look at your schedule.. When will you work on your Adwords Advertising? Believe it or not this is a critical step. For every marketing effort you've got to set aside time to focus on the campaign. Adwords will run by itself, but just left to run on its own with no monitoring you will end up spending

Last night I attended the Sales Performance Meetup in Vancouver. Shane Gibson, Author, Sales Trainer & meetup organizer spoke at the event last night. The first time I heard Shane present was at the Real Estate Tech Meetup probablly a year ago. I've been to that meetup a lot and Shane still stands out as one of the best presenters.

1. They are engaging. He's a great speaker and quite comfortable in his own skin. He is easy to listen to and keeps you engaged.

Steve Jagger just released the details for the Vancouver Real Estate Tech Meetup in September. The date is Sept 2nd from 6:30 - ?? Last week I was there until 10 pm but the presentation usually wraps up around 7:30pm. The rest of the evening is set aside for networking, and chatting.

We just wrapped up our blog training yesterday in downtown Vancouver. There was a great variety of people in our training. We had people ranging from Real estate profession to law to personal fitness, join us for the blog training. 

I was reminded of the importance of getting started with your internet marketing efforts. If you are not doing anything or are doing very little with your web marketing efforts getting started with a blog can seem like an overwhelming task. The momentum to start something is always more than the momentum required to keep something rolling.

Today I want to give you a little jump start on your blogging efforts

Yahoo! announced this week that they are now including LinkedIn profile as part of their enhanced search results. Now Yahoo! has basically a feed of all the LinkedIn entries pumped into it's index. This ensures that they get the new data quickly. The enhanced search results also look a bit different on the search engine results page. Below is a snapshot of what my listing looks like on Yahoo!

The enhanced results also include a link to email so that you can easily share this specific result with a friend. This link to the email is not pictured in the example above. 

What does all this mean for you?

Last week in our bootcamp the subject of sitelinks came up. Later that night when I came home someone else had sent me an email asking about how to get sitelinks to show in the search results.

First things first... What are sitelinks? 

Sitelinks are the links pictured above - they include 4 links directly to different pages on our website. The sitelinks are: Reachd TV, Graduates, Dates & Prices, Accommodations Not all searches will generate sitelinks. A search for "Adwords Training in Vancouver" also shows our site #1 but we do not have any sitelinks for that search.
