Vancouver YP Meetup and Real Estate Meetup Take Aways

I know some of you missed the event tonight, but you can get the live blogging notes here from miss604.com. Thanks to Rebecca and Raul (pic courtesy of Raul) for the being at the event to catch all the tid bits.

Here are my 2 cents from the event tonight - action and mindset.

Intention, desired results, dreams, plans and vision are all nice, but without some motion are pretty useless. This is a key idea that I have been thinking a lot about and will be putting a plan in place to help each of the students that attend our courses. Many students attend our courses, they get pumped about blogging or adwords, but then get home and get busy with other things. They lose momentum and don't take action on what they've learned.

My goal is to help our students build and maintain that momentum. I want them to take action on what they have learned.

Second take away for me was mindset. This one is huge. Scott Humphrey, the speaker tonight, spoke mostly about mindset in regards to financial goals. A negative mindset, such as, the market is slow or it is too competitive will lead to poor sales results. He talked about the importance of having a positive mindset or belief system. I want to take that positive mindset into the world of internet marketing for business that are just breaking into the space.

You could have the mindset that, marketing online is too difficult or too competitive. I have too much to learn and not enough time to learn it. Here is the positive mindset that I want you to have - You can learn to blog effectively! You can learn to use Google Adwords to market your business! You can find the time to post a video to your website! This positive mindset goes beyond "You Can do it" - "You will see results from continued sustained effort." Blogging, SEO, Adwords, video, internet marketing in general will make difference in your bottom line.

I've seen the bottom line change because of internet marketing and so can you. The question is, are you going to be a risk taker or is your fear going to keep you from trying something new?

Enough preaching...thanks Scott for coming I really apprecaited your words and motivation. Follow this link find out more about the Scott's Company and the Upcoming Tony Robbins event Peak Performance Strategist
