If you are tracking with the search engine optimization world you have heard of link love, link juice, or link ____ you fill in the blank. If you've not been tracking with the search engine optimization (seo) world and you don't know what link love is...let me boil it down for you. You need links to your website to Rank in the search engines. But lots of links is not the primary goal in today's SEO world you need quality links. 

What is a quality link to your site

1. A link from a page with a page rank of 4+ 2. A text link with good link text 3. A link on a page which is not filled with Adsense ads 4. A link on a page

I was a little bit behind on reading some of my blog subscriptions, most noteablly the Google Webmaster Central Blog so I was using my evening to catch up.

A post on their blog was sort of a 10 ten of their best posts over the last year. One of the Top 10 posts which caught my Eyes was the post entitled "Best Uses of Flash" This post caught my eye because we recently had someone attend our bootcamp that had a heavy flash site. Our student was quite frustrated as we explained the problems with having lots of flash and with trying to get your site to do well in the search engines.

Meta Keywords are all but useless, but your meta description can be a very important factor when it comes to improving the performance of your website. Why? beacause your meta description will be displayed to humans in the search engine results page. Take a few minutes and check out the video we recorded with some instructions for writing effective meta descriptions...

Here is the biggest tip...write your meta description to correlate with the page title because when visitors see your site in the search engine results, they will likely see your title first

We just wrapped up our SEO Essentials Training and Adwords training in Vancouver for the month of February. It was a great couple of days!

How do I plan to use this new tool and How does it relate to SEO?

I would like to begin surveying the people that visit our website. People come to Reachd.com because they are looking for info or help with SEO or Adwords. My plan is to use this tool to quickly and easy

Google has been at again. Releasing new cool stuff to make our lives easy. Maybe this is old news for you as the tool was release just about a week ago but this is first time that I got ot look at it.

Here is how you create your own custom form with Google Docs

1. Log into your Google Account 2. Go to http://docs.google.com and click new spreadsheet 3. From there Name your worksheet something and save it. 4. Then go to share and you will see a link that says "invite people to fill in a form" 5. Create your form and then either email it to people or frame it in on your site using the URL provided.

This tip is a follow up to our internal linking tip earlier this week. In the earlier tip we mentioned that you should use internal linking to link to the important pages on your site.

It is also important to vary the link text a slightly that you use when you are linking to internal pages. You can use synonyms and even the occasional "click here"

Why do you want to do this? Because you don't want your link reputation to look contrived or unnatural.

It is important to give the search engine spiders several paths to the pages on your website. Besides the site navigation and the sitemap on everypage, you should add links to within the body text of your website to the most important pages on your site.
