Check out the Cheap Copy

July 2nd, 2008
This weekend, a friend sent me this link to a website which is a duplicate of an Ubertor website. (http://www.julialau.ca/) This site is not running on the Ubertor system but it looks just like an Ubertor site. When I say "look" I'm not just talking about the color scheme, but the listing module is the mirror image of Ubertor.

We all know that copy and paste is prevelant on the internet. You find something you like, whether it is text or a cool widget and you want it on your site. But the level of copying on this site is over the top - it is just blatant theft.

Funny thing is if you look closely in the code you will even

Yesterday Google announced an agreement with Yahoo! to show their Sponsored Links (Google Adwords) on the Yahoo! U.S. and Canadian search results. Google will also provided content advertising to Yahoo! as well. Google is already has a similar partenership with Ask.com and AOL.com and you can read more about Google's Post about the Yahoo! Google agreement here

A few points about the deal according to Tech Crunch

1. It is none exclusive - Google and Yahoo! ads will run on Yahoo! 2. It is expected to add $800 million in revenue 3. Yahoo! natural search will be unaffected by the agreement

What does this mean for you the advertiser?

March 20th, 2008
Reachd.com just experienced a facelift! Kuni, from kunidesign.com has been working with us to develop a new look and feel for the Reachd website and branding, and I have to tell you I'm pretty excited with what he's come up with.

Reachd.com is hosted by Ubertor, a content management system that is SEO friendly and one which allows for lots of customization options since the CSS is unlocked. If you are sure that all that means, you might check out this short video that give a before and after look at Ubertor websites that have been customized via CSS.

Audio Interview with Seth Godin

February 7th, 2008
I just finished listening to an audio recording of an interview with Seth Godin. Also on the interview was Michael Port and David Meerman Scott

I was cleaning up my office and trying to get a bit more organized as I listened. Actually not a good ideas as I find multi-tasking to be less productive then focusing on one item -- but that is the topic for another day.
